Seven CUB student entries gained national recognition in the TRIO Quest 2009 contest.
Brent, Kurt and Chris made it to the Quarterfinals for their website "Remembering 9/11". You can visit their website at http://cub.wichita.edu/911.
Alan, Ethyn and Nick also made the Quarterfinals for their video entry "How to be a Rockstar" (posted below).
Five solo and team projects made it to the Semifinals and are still in the running for the top prizes in the MediaQuest competition. Those five projects are: Danielle, James and Kristen, and Megan's video entry "Addiction vs Success", Daqualyn and Montrell's song "Change", Nick's audio entry "Enduring Soul", Alan's audio entry "Serenity", and Chris, Sam, and Dillon's video entry "What Ever Happened to Sam?"
Congratulations and good luck to our talented CUB students!

Trying Again
Everyday brings new and unique opportunities to be better. Unfortunately, we often miss these opportunities because we are enslaved by guilt.
Participating in the CUB summer reminded me of the relentlessness of my teenage years. Each new morning was full of fresh promise and optimism. However, as we get older, we learn how to rehearse our mistakes, and ignore our strenghts.
I am commited to recapturing my old perseverance, and I challenge you to do the same. Dissapointments are inevitable, but you always possess the option of trying again.
